DAY 1: Arrival at your hotel in the region south of Bolzano.
DAY 2: Kalterer See & Kaltern Wine Village
Today takes you to Lake Kaltern (Kalterer See), the warmest bathing lake in the Alps. Your hike begins here, leading through vineyards into the center of Kaltern, one of South Tyrol's most charming wine villages. Here, a wine tasting and a snack featuring traditional South Tyrolean products await you. Before walking back to Lake Kaltern, you will have free time to explore the wine village on your own. (Approx. 2.5 hours, approx. 275 m elevation gain, approx. 9 km, easy)
DAY 3: Aldein & Goat Cheese Tasting
Today you head to Aldein, a small mountain village in southern South Tyrol. Your hike starts above Aldein in the Lerch area, winding through forests and meadows. You will pass a mountain farm specializing in goat breeding. Following a guided tour of the farm, you will have the chance to sample various homemade goat cheeses. Later, the hike leads you to the Aldein Mill Museum, which you can explore at your own pace. (Approx. 3 hours, approx. 250 m elevation gain, approx. 7 km, easy)
DAY 4: Historic Fleimstal Railway Trail & Apple Tasting
After breakfast, drive to Montan along the South Tyrolean Wine Road. Your hike begins here along the route of the historic Fleimstal Railway, a very popular trail offering scenic views of the valley. You will hike through this renowned wine region while enjoying beautiful panoramic views of the South Tyrolean Lowlands (Unterland). After the hike, an apple tasting in the middle of an orchard awaits you. (Depending on route length: approx. 1.5–2.5 hours, approx. 5–10 km, approx. 150–350 m elevation gain)
